A classic cotton chambray work shirt, done the McCoy's way. The 8 Hour Union sub-label of the Joe McCoy brand focuses specifically on the garments that came after the rapid postwar industrial boom in the US, reproducing some of the most humble and influential workwear pieces of the last century.
Made from a comfortable 5oz selvedege chambray fabric, these 100% cotton shirts are an excellent choice for working on a hot day. Though initially stiff and sturdy, these will break in quickly and dramatically, developing a more relaxed drape and soft hand with wear and washing.
The fit is very forgiving, with a fairly standard cut through the shoulders and torso, terminating at a length that works both tucked and untucked, and a nice relaxed fit through the chest. The placket, cuffs, and twin chest pockets all close with contrasting white buttons that compliment the 100% cotton stitching, because it's nice when things match.
Fits true to size. Minimal shrinkage expected with a cold wash and a hang dry.
