The Union City Greyhounds played in the Kentucky-Illinois-Tenessee League from 1935-1942 and 1946-1955. They were affiliated with St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians and the Brooklyn Dodgers. They changed their name to the Union City Dodgers in 1953.
